Your art is suuper good and I love the overall aesthetic of the game! I'd really love to see the final product of this!
Ahhh if only you had scoped smaller! The amount of sprites alone in this game is crazy for 1 month, and the amount of levels it looks like you planned would in my opinion have been impossible for almost anyone. The playable content right now is at least 90% testing rooms with NPCs that have no dialogue. I managed to find the bossfight and it's actually a pretty good one. Sadly it's just so incomplete right now, so apart from 5 stars in Aesthetics, for the nice sprites, I'm giving this game a pretty low rating. If you finish this game though, I'm very much looking forward to playing it!

Yep', my ambition got the best of me lol (And I took a week to work on the 1-Bit jam, next time, only 1 jam at a time! XD)
I am currently overhauling a previous game jam game (Bleek), so once I finish development on that, I'll get back to working on this game again. (Hopefully I can get it finished before the next Magical Girl Jam!)
I appreciate your honest assessment and they are definitely a priority to work on next, once I finish polishing some of the bugs. (So many bugs!)

this game has lots of potential, but right now seems broken in several ways. The boss was challenging unless you figure out how to spam both buttons at the same time for a super machinegun of hearts and cures.

Oh, and a good catch! (I think there was a similar bug with Cuphead, where you can spam switching between the two weapon to shoot both weapon at once.)
Hopefully, it will be more bug-free for the complete version! :D
The game has eye-catching graphics and the story is somewhat interesting, however the controls are terrible, I couldn't even cast spells and some platforms were difficult to jump.

Yeah, this game is still quite incomplete (I'd say I am about 60% done with the original vision for this jam.)
As for the controls, let me see why you can't cast spells, since that can be an issue. (I am also planning on adding Gamepad controls.) I'll see why the mouse is not working.
Oh, I also forgot to mention that there is a boss fight. (If you are in the Level and press "B" keyboard key, you will be sent to the boss room, just in case you were interested in trying that!)

Regarding the platforms and jumping, I was referring to the fact that either the protagonist jumps very low or the platform is very high, it would be good if you put the platform lower or for the protagonist to jump higher.
Also, another tip I would give is to add a crouch button.
