It is a beautiful colorful game, also with a good theme. I would have liked better control when jumping, but I understand that sometimes at jams not everything can be perfect. Very cool.

I really enjoyed the interpretation of the theme! However, I echo what a lot of others have said as there are a lot of bugs. I personally ran into the timer bug and somehow latched onto the invisible wall on the far right side of the stage.
I also wish that the layout could better reinforce the goals of the game as I found myself pretty confused about what I was supposed to do in my first few runs. Great job on completing your game though!
Hey :) We didn't have much time with this as everyone else because my computer was completly busted for 2 days with no way of me being able to login and @Tooble helped me fix it, we are going to be doing a post jam patch to iron out the bugs :)
The layout of the game is styled to be a metroidvania tied into a platformer also. We decided on this because we wanted their to be a panic of not knowing where to go to find the gifts and we believe that this metroidvania/platformer best suits to instill panic and also fuel exploration to find the gifts by taking different paths to find different gifts, couldn't fully explore this though due to said tech issues before unfortunately :(

I kind of wish i could respawn from the pause screen and agree with what others have said but overall I had a really fun time!
btw if you like comedy games you might like my previous game jam game, not really polished but people had fun with it

This was a very cute take on the theme, the mother's day influence on this one is very strong. Also pretty funny.
Controls were a bit off, they were a bit slow. Some of the level design was a bit confusing because of the mixing of different assets.
Honestly the pain of finding assets that play nice together was the worst, we had an original idea that is similar to this one but we couldn't find the assets that would back it up, me and @Tooble will tone up the controls after the Jam. Thanks for the feedback :)

Your splash screen breaks? Can you describe it a bit more please? :) And show a screenshot of where too, that would help a ton with the post jam patch :)
It looks like this to me, as in the screenshot, and then the character just runs away. I think I should show something or is this how it should be?
Yeah that's a glitch, we had trouble with Unity Timeline, it sometimes bugs out and doesn't work as intended and other times it works just fine, but i see this as a minor issue as this is just a cut-scene and doesn't mess up the actual gameplay. Thanks for getting back to me though! :)
i mostly agree with what the others said. But also wanna let you know there is this bug when the time runs out, you are stuck, because the menu does no spawn. I was able to finish it in a reasonable time and after i learned the level layout, good job :)
ahhh is that back!? We had a last minute panic trying to get rid of that exact bug! Sorry you had to deal with that but thanks for letting us know about it anyway, glad you liked it too :)
Really nice premise and story! The only gameplay change I would suggest is working a bit on the enemy paths ( the dog killed me instantly 4 times after I took the stairs...couldn't do anything about it! Great submission overall! Congratulations on finishing your game!
Thats really strange because we didn't set the dog up to do any damage and never ran into the dog doing any damage during play testing, are you sure the time didn't just run out? Glad you liked the game too though :)

Cool game. Music was nice. For the jumpad i think it would be better if it bounces you instead of you having to jump on it. A problem i see is the graphics the style is not consistent some things have different styles and the dog had an outline whereas the player didn't. The graphics look nice but would look even better if everything followed the same consistent style. Still pretty cool congrats on releasing your game!
We had a very hard time finding assets that mesh well together, with the jump-pads i think it would be annoying having it forcibly jump you in the air as since there is so many of them, it would be annoying to dodge, glad you like my game nonetheless :)
Overall, a decent little game. I recommend making the jump pads stick out a bit more, and there were more than a few bugs, such as getting stuck on certain surfaces, and at one point a platform seems to have fallen on one side, making it impossible to go back home. That said, a cute game nonetheless.
The platform is intentional as it is a shutter/gate , if you look in the game description on the game page or in the how to play section of the game it mentions this. This is in the game because it gives reason to make the player rush instead of just having a timer and crying on the floor when it runs out . As to the player it would seem as 'why can't i just walk over there and exit, why is there a timer?' , hope this clears it up.
Could you show me where the stuck on surface bug happened through screenshots please, so i can patch them out after the jam? :)
Enjoyed the theme interpretation. Controls were a little confusing around the jump pads but overall it wasn't too hard to figure out. The end screen made me laugh. Congrats on finishing your project!
Hey thanks for the kind words, I was thinking about the jump pads for a while and decided on doing it the way I did because i didn't want the player to have to avoid them if they didn't want to jump on them. And glad it did @Tooble came up with that XDD. Thanks a bunch :)
