Just now beat it, using only the PS4 controller touchpad...
it was brutal, 69 though ;)

Developer(+1)

Wow, the PS4 touchpad? I didn't even realize that would be compatible, but it makes sense.

I love how the music is so over the top, I got so hyped flying around! simple but fun. It could have a bit more of optimisation, it was running at like 20 fps with a gtx 1070 and an i5 7700k

Developer

I have a 3080, had framerate problems too, just fixed it in the update if you want to try again :))

This is a great game I enjoyed playing it and went for 3 rounds. Well done!!!

On the second round On the level... I fell into a void where player didn't die and just continued falling

Developer (1 edit)

Awesome! Im Really Glad you enjoyed it!

we're currently working on an update for it for, after the jam, spikes are supposed to surround the entire play space, can I ask where you happened to fall?

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

I was still trying reproduce that fall, It's there

Developer(+1)

Oh Ya Found that!

its already been fixed in the planned update

Super cool concept, super fun execution. This is the kind of game that could be sold on storefronts if it was polished more and was longer! The controls are tight, I played with a gamepad so it felt a lot more precise. UI could use some work but other than that, really solid game you've put together here.

Developer

Wow! I Didnt even know the game had Gamepad support!

Thank you for the kind words!

Submitted(+1)

It sort of does!

The joystick acts as the mouse position while the right trigger acts as the mouse button. It could take some getting used to but I'm a big fan of this control scheme.

I love the art style. It's very minimalistic but effective and looks great, the music fits and pumps me up to keep going. The level design was easy to understand and kept me engaged. Honestly my only complaint which is minimal is just that some of the text blended a bit too much but that wasn't really a big deal. Amazing work :D

Developer

Thank you so much! the text problem is being cleared up in the Update after the Jam! :)

I'm so glad you enjoyed it!!

Wow! Great Game!
Enjoyed it very much!

Great Art, Level Design and Sound. The Idea is Unique and Fun.

Nice one!

I recognized the graphics and realized it was from DavidA3D from the first M-A-L game jam. Hey man! 😄
Anyway, the game was a bit difficult for me, so I didn't get to finish it yet. Maybe I'll try again another time because I like a challenge.
On the other hand, the flying feature really shined here and was wondering if you could try and add  flight direction control via WASD, and possibly consider a double jump that activates the flying mode.

Developer(+1)

And you never beat Cute SS, either, did you? Those are great suggestions! We were playing with both the mouse flight and WASD flight, and I liked both, but it was easier to settle on one.

Submitted(+1)

I did beat CuteSS when I tried it on the next day with a gamepad XD.

Welp looks like my comment didn't go through lol, this is a really cool game overall, i really like the level design of the game, it reminds me a lot of Seen if you have played that at all, it's similar to Limbo. The core mechanic of the fly is quite creative but it took me a while to understand how to get it to work. The first wall jump part wouldn't let me jump on the other side of the wall but every other wall worked just fine. I really liked the starting part of the game where you have to physically fly other there and land on the part to start, it reminds me of Ultimate Chicken Horse's start which I was fond of. Overall really good game :)

Developer(+1)

WOW! Thank you so much, we've actually been working on an update that should fix and improve a lot of things in the level itself as well as the UI, it should come out the day after the Jam ends.

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

Looking forward to seeing it! Gave you a follow :)

Developer

If Your Up for it, the game has been updated :)

though we are planning another update to come out in a while

This game is awesome! The music sounds great and the mechanics are all there! The UI could definitely use some improvement though... In my opinion the jump sound really doesn't fit in with the style of the game. If you press the jump button in midair, the jump sound will play again, which isn't the greatest either. It also might be in my imagination, but I'm pretty sure that every time you die, the ship speeds up! Other than these few things, I had a great time playing this game! Good job!

Developer

Wow! Thanks for such a nice comment Im really glad how much you enjoyed it!

Ya, the Jumping does repeat for some reason even if you're in mid-air, the ship shouldn't increase in speed though, it resets each time you touch the ground or die.

Thank you for the honesty!!

Amazing Game, the level designer is a real G.

Once I beat it, I had to go back for a no death run, it took a while but I did it :)
Not gonna lie, I'd definitely pay five dollars for this if it was on steam... ;)

Developer(+1)

Even I haven't done a no-death run yet. Nice one!

(+1)

I really like a challenge...
and the experience was more than enough fun to compel me, I started trying immediately after I finished my first run.

Submitted(+2)

This was a very fun experience, also a good challenge! took me 20 minutes with 39 Deaths. The Controls are amazing. I got lost in the skymaze a bit and some areas were lacking some sort of visual guide where you have to go. The Ending was epic! Also the other scripted events were very nice to look at. Nice Game :)

Submitted(+2)

I really think you got something here with the controls. They were snappy and satisfying. The thing I felt really hurt the fun movement was the layout. The level seemed to behave in ways I doubt were intentional which led to a lot of really confusing moments of frustration. Work on your level design and this will be a great experience.

I liked the game. Nice graphics. Good gameplay

I have this message in the game:

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I didn't realize the default exporter is for a dev build, so those are development messages that shouldn't have been included.

Submitted(+1)

How do you play your game? The webgl version is missing. The download button is missing.

Developer(+2)

Ours didn't upload in time, so there's nothing to download. Sorry for the confusion, and thanks for looking!

Submitted

I'm sorry to hear that! Maybe you should record a gameplay video? It’s very interesting what other participants did.

Developer(+2)

Hey Man i just uploaded it! you need to jump into another page to get to it but i hope you can enjoy it!
