Here is my game! First time I've made a platformer, so this was a learning experience! A Skeleton Goes Shopping
Gosh dangit, I want to give this 5 stars, but the jump mechanic needs a bit of work to feel "Good". As it stands the jump mechanic feels "Awful'. Otherwise, this game is fantastic! I love the music, sound effects, looks, and layout! Maybe if the jumps fall was a bit slower, or maybe if the camera didnt bounce every time you did.
I like the concept, and while its a bit of stretch to call it 'emergency' themed, I will say I like what you were going for. Unfortunately, the controls feel a bit off. You should really seperate the aiming and the movement. Also, the fly mechanic, while fun, should have a meter or similar, as it can be difficult to gauge how far you can go with it. The enemies are a bit nebulous, and I'm not too sure what was going on. Also, I died twice on the right trying to figure out what was beyond the enormous cliff, before I went against conventions and went left on the platformer.
A little bit of work, and this could be great.
PS: Please don't zip things up with 7zip. I know its a nice program, but standard zip files are a bit more universal.
Overall, a decent little game. I recommend making the jump pads stick out a bit more, and there were more than a few bugs, such as getting stuck on certain surfaces, and at one point a platform seems to have fallen on one side, making it impossible to go back home. That said, a cute game nonetheless.
Hey! Got an idea for a game? Maybe you're a music composer or an artist, and want some help with the meat and bones for a game. Well, I'm here to help! I don't have a lot of time to spend, maybe an 10-15 hours over the course of a week, but I would be happy to help a team with any number of things. Already have a developer using a particular language? No sweat! I'm happy to learn the language myself, assuming I don't already know it!
Anyways, just message me, either here or privately for help, and Ill be happy to lend a hand!
P.S: For clarification, with cards on the table so to speak, I am doing this as a learning experience. I will do my darndest to help.
