Nice game! The gameplay reminds me of games like Undertale and Earthbound, and I like how you used that to meet the theme. It was pretty entertaining, and the UI was really good. Unfortunately though I think Terence's relationship ended in my playthrough, as the game would freeze every time my battle with the bully was about to end, and after just avoiding the bully and beating Lance to death, I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do next (I couldn't interact with anything else.) Still though, I think you did a good job. Well done!

No worries! I doubt there's very many people in these game jams that don't have at least some bugs and glitches. And this is actually pretty good for your first game. You even made it during a game jam with a time constraint, no less! Good job.
