I really liked this! It almost had the feel of a cozy game, and breaking away the bits was really relaxing and satisfying. Kinda like popping bubble-wrap! At first I kinda wanted the mech to have a healthbar, but in the end I really enjoyed that it was the body and the cells your were protecting, and not having a personal health bar really allowed me to zone in.

That was the design intent! It is based after a mining laser. There's supposed to be no health for the mech as the goal is to get the highest score in the least amount of time. Kinda like how medical technicians have to be quick and efficient.

Cute little shooter game. I like the mech design and all the biological bits. I wish the viruses could attack you or if you hit too many good blocks that the white blood cells would also attack you. Would like to see a percent "infection" or something to show how much more the player has to accomplish to beat a level. Nice start for something that could really bloom into a lot more.

Thanks for the feedback! There was supposed to be a damage threshold where the player fails due to injuring the patient. The white blood cells were intended to attack the player to  punish friendly fire.

Very cool idea! Music didn't play, maybe a bit more SFX variety would have benefited the game.

I love this concept! The idea of medical mecha was a really cool take on the genre.

I like the way the laser feels, but the sound design seems to be a little off.

I think there's a lot of potential here to explore biology and maybe even make a cool edutainment title.

Glad you liked it!

We had a lot more plans for the game but our lack of time and skill caused us to have to abandon some core game ideas and rush the sound design towards the end. We're still trying to establish our rhythm for developing games so that we hit all the important markers. One step (or jam) at a time I guess haha. Thanks for the feedback, we really appreciate it!

Cool entry and concept!

I think the idea of a nanobot mech is very interesting and original. Cool!

I was excited because I thought the whole game would have this retro, black and green sort of art style because of your thumbnail, and that's an art style that I really like. The actual game art didn't disappoint though! Just thought it was kind of funny.

In terms of the gameplay, I think it can become a bit repetitive at points. I think the idea of having to be careful with your laser to avoid destroying the healthy cells is interesting, I think you could use it a bit more. I also felt like some enemies were a bit too tanky and I had to hold my laser on them for a bit too long, which eventually made me ignore some of them.

There seems to be a weird issue with the audio, and it felt like the "hit" sounds for your laser would start stacking on top of each other endlessly, so the game felt like it was getting louder the farther along I got. I don't know what could be causing this but I think it's worth looking into! Also, adding some music and more sound effects would help massively in making the game feel more responsive.

Very cool concept, I hope you continue working on it! Keep up the good work!

Hey, thanks for playing our game! Glad you enjoyed the concept and game art.

We did end up rushing the sound design and I may have made the viruses a little too tanky (I tend to get jaded from hitting the same mob a million times when testing). Something we'll try to improve on over time. Thanks for the feedback!
