Game Info
This game starts as a 2D game but turns into 3D, becoming creepier the more you play. There are 4 endings and 15 achievements. For this game, I used 'The Blacksmith’s Curse' as the theme. It is also inspired by Slenderman and Baldi’s Basics. Most of the instructions are in the game and in the itch.io page, just make sure you don’t skip the tutorial!

This was the best game from the jam by far. It kept to the theme and had me scared for a good portion of my play experience. Switching between the two game modes confused me and made me second-guess what would happen. However, it is very easy to anticipate the monster's approach. The extreme darkness did assist in elevating the horror mood, but with only a few distinct landmarks, I kept getting lost.

Overall pretty good. The graphics are simple but get the job done, I would of like to see more done with the blacksmithing element of the game. The game feels like it goes from one game to a totally different one rather than the two components feeling connected. The tutorial was nice but some on screen prompts would help. I couldnt help but notice the sounds of cars driving around in the ambient sounds which kinda hurt the vibe. I didnt notice any bugs or glitches in my playthrough.  If you plan on working on this more id love to see some expanding of the blacksmithing part of the game, and more elaboration on the "curse" of the theme.

Hello, I appreciate that you played the game, and I’m happy you enjoyed it.

I understand that there isn’t much blacksmithing involved, but I couldn’t find a good and fun idea for that. As for the 'curse,' you’re kind of right, it doesn’t show that much, as it only appears and makes sense in the notes(the "lore" of the game).

This is the first game jam I’ve ever worked on, so I didn’t know how to make a good short game in a limited time. However, I’m looking forward to improving at game jams!

Also i dont really understand what you mean with car sounds, because in the game there are none, can you explain that in more detail?
