I cant wait to stomp into a village and pillage!!

This might be my favorite so far. It has a very Grendel feel to it. Here are the few thoughts I had while reading:

  • That intro is perfect. I know exactly what's going on, who I am, and what I need to do about the situation. NICE! Also, you carry your theme and tone through the explanation of your rules!
  • I love that the trolls are beings with ways and traditions and not just another monster. And you set those both up well.
  • Troll looks section needed to be formatted differently. Content is great. Bullets perhaps.
  • I would have liked a list of village scenarios for the trolls to deal with. And I'm sure with more time, it would be here haha.
  • I wish that the Danger was not just 50% 50%. I don't know what a good fix might be for this but it feels not quite as polished as everything else. Maybe lesser (succeed on >3), regular (succeed on >6), and greater dangers (succeed on >9)? The A Troll Might Be section helps build the idea that there needs to be a strong force to deal with these trolls.
  • I LOVE THIS FORTIFY & DEFEND SECTION!

Man, this ticked a lot of the boxes for me. Excited to see the final version of this (cause clearly you kept pushing on with this one). GREAT JOB!

thanks so much for this, it seriously means a lot. We plan on using this as a rough guideline for future editions, as we agree with all of your points.

Best looking game I've seen so far! There's a great foundation there, would be great to see the mechanics developed some more so that there is more strategy and less chance to the game, awesome effort for the jam!

thank you so so much. We've actually continued development already, but our 48 hours were especially tight, and this is all we could get out!!!

I really like the concept and especially the base building concept you have in this

Your file size probably can be optimised a bit. For us poor Aussies with crappy internet infrastructure it's a bit big.

Good entry and good luck :)

yep - we goofed. We hit our finish at 3 am, both of us with migraines, and messed up the file size! Hopefully we can get to a computer before the deadline and fix this. Also thanks!!

Edit: We did in fact get to a comp in time. It's still a little big but we compressed it as much as we could with 10 minutes to spare before the dead line! Hope that helps, yo!
