NICE! I had some thoughts while reading:
I really appreciate the brevity and focus of the game. The mechanics are great and do an excellent job of emulating media process enough to make you really feel like a news employee. great job!
Think I might give this a go. It's a good game and I appreciate the time pressures, but it would have benefited from a bit of formatting.
A sterling effort nonetheless.
EDIT:
Sorry, this looks like such a throwaway comment! I wanted to say that the scene-footage-mettle test and reel mechanic really worked for me, and I'm not usually into story games. Well done!
This is one of the games I'm most excited to play, but at the same time the "push your luck" mechanic could leave a player sitting out the rest of the game which is a worry.
But, it's a short game so maybe short enough not to matter.
Kaiju Journalist Action!
Really fun concept
Thanks! It needs a couple of coats of paint, I had two ten hour shifts during the game jam so it got a little dirty.
