question regarding engine project file requirement

Hello!

I saw that the recently updated submission requirements lists engine project files in addition to the executables. I understand that it is likely to verify that the participant has done their own work, but I am a little concerned about having that file available to download publicly because I have heard of instances where people can take advantage of this without our consent. After the game jam is completely over, I was wondering if we  are allowed to monetize our game.

I may be over-worrying, but any additional info to help clarify the reasoning would be greatly appreciated!

These will be used for judging only and not be made public, and is in place to verify authenticity.

Re monetization, you are welcome to do this after the event has ended, but we will also be issuing guidance on potential opportunities post-jam.

Thank you very much for the explanation!

Just to update you further, we will likely only request project files from finalists, instead of from everyone!
