Love RTS games and could see the massive potential. Great work & ideas. Had serious Universe At War vibes from the get go! Well done!

Good job on the RTS genre, fits well with the invasion theme. As I come from the Warcraft/Starcraft days I was expecting it to play something like that (my bad going in with preconceptions) but it’s a good start. I felt it could have used more units and buildings (I get it, time constraints) and more activity from the enemy. Felt a little slow before seeing any action. The giant alien was insane and killed everyone, so yeah, aliens. Hoping to see this game move forward with some more development after the jam.

Starcraft for the world!

Well, it’s not quite Starcraft but I felt it was in there somewhere.

Developer

Never played Starcraft.

Love the game ideas, this has a lot of room to grow! Looking forward to if you push further updates.

Love the menuing system for the characters, but it is a bit unclear at first, maybe some info screen before everything starts.

Not positive what to do at first, but makes some sense after a bit.

More things to build would be a great place, also maybe messing with some tooltips on what the different buildings would help with the first time they are bought or about to be used or unlocked or something like that.

World feels quite big, but you can see everything, maybe a fog of war?

Location of your units and  base on minimap are unclear

Again awesome work, would love to see this pushed further.

really like the idea, however there are somethings preventing actual gameplay

negatives:

- "main base" should be not a refinery (?) but should allow collection of resources

- there is no "just go play" mode

- when starting as alien, no indication of wtf to do

- when starting as human, no indication of wtf to do

- hard to tell what is the border of map, when no camera indicator on minimap.

- main(?) building should be able to produce more miners

- money should potentially count up alot quicker when miner deposits (easier to tell if i can actually make a new building without having to wait for a number to count up)

- when you click to move a char, maybe add an indicatort (renderline(?) to its new coords)

- builders has no buildRange? i can select a builder, and place anything anywhere on map, without builder moving an inch

- enemy doesnt spawn any actual hostile enemies? only miners

- placing new refinery breaks current miners automization (everything breaks after placing new refinery) miners just stop

- no way to build new miners?

- no sounds

- escape menu does not return to main menu when clicked

- game was kinda unplayable with only enemies spawning "harversters"

positives:

+ looks good

+ animations are on point (with human builders as an exception)

potential improvements:

make a "skirmish mode" where you spawn X amount of enemy bases(/bosses), that progressivly upgrades enemies and harvest resources and attack your base.

allow for multiple miners to be constructed from "start resources"

add camera orientation indicator on minimap ( to bnetter inform of position and rotation of current camera orentiation)
