A different and interesting idea! I loved the duck
Nice first effort. I like the idea of the mechanic. Would be great to see some more!
HI good first gamejam game. Good basic gameplay.
Good work
Thanks for testing it!
The swapping mechanic is a fun twist and it's cool that the two character's jumps actually feel different. The duck's wing flaps feel good when you have space to go left and right.
Obviously, as you say, lots still to work on, but a good first step!
Thanks! I decided to use export variables for the jump height and decided to make them be able to do totally different things. The thing with the swapping was that I initially thought about making them swap at the same place, but when I was debugging this happened, so yes; "it's not a bug, it's a feature" hahaha
As you said, it needs to be polished, but I think you have a good foundation. Sorry I can't rate it that highly--could be quite the enjoyable game if it had a lot more time put into it.
Thanks for testing! The art side of this project took 85% of the time, so I didn't have enough time to get too many levels to call it an actual metroidvania. I'm personally working on a project about time travel, also a metroidvania.
