Thank you! Yeah the respawning mechanic wasn't working as hoped. Maybe something to fix in a future update.

I wanted Winsor to ride a caterpillar so he did. Winsor got respawned inside a caterpillar. I enjoyed every second of it.

I love Winsor and I wish him the best. Please increase the screen size so Winsor doesn't jump onto the caterpillars until they're ridable.

Cheers and take care, Winsor, my beloved. Tell your creator I'm truly glad we met.

Nice looking game, but the falling death, and spawning in the middle of the sky was annoying, I even fell through solid world a couple of time, a bug you can reproduce by just pressing D and SPACE together at the start and holding both down till you fall to your death through the world.

Pity as the game was cute and that stopped me really enjoying what was a lovely looking game, I hope you can iron out some of the bugs after the Jam, as I think you could have a really fun game here with the bugs gone!

the movement and controls were great, felt intuitive for me., buti could never see the ground i was jumping to and fell to my death and had to start the game over a few times. cute wizard

Aside from the respawn issues after death (which required me to restart the game if I died), the biggest issue I had with the game is the one dan.collings.dev mentions about the camera's position. You had one downward jump that was led with coins, which helped the player assume that is was safe. More of that would be great to improve the player's confidence in moving forward. Adjusting the camera position down and/or adding a look down feature are other ways to improve.

I did like the big ghost and how it spawned the little ones. And the "You died" screen is actually pretty funny and works as a nod to both Super Mario Bros. and the Souls games : )

Thanks for the feedback

I have the same criticisms as Phelippe. The camera position relative to the player's position makes it harder or impossible to see obstacles and platforms that are below you, which makes jumping sometimes jumping a literal leap of faith. You have idea what's going to happen.

Keep this kind of feedback in mind and you'll improve. Congrats on submitting.

I like the design and humor of simply playing a sword-wielding mage. But the area is very confusing, the combat doesn't have a good response and impact, and every time I died I ended up being reborn in the air, having to restart the game. With some fixes and improvements it will be much more fun to play!

I died because I didn't know holes killed you and then respawned in the air?? I think??
