This game is great, might be my favorite of the jam!
The controls are super satisfying, and I love the visual and audio feedback.
Also, it's huge! Good thing there's a map. Well done!

What I liked:
-The minimalist art is simple but amazing
-The music fits nicely
-The metroidvania is really well applied, kept me going for a while (didn't finished, explained later)
-The map is a HUGE help
-The powerups are simple, but cool, the "swaping" overall was interesting with clever puzzles
-Everything is introduced progressively, made it easy to undertand
What I didn't like:
-After the first time I died, all of the sound just stopped (reloading the page fixed it, but lost the progress)
-After some time (after the circle boss) everything became REALLY laggy, to the point the powerups worked half of the time, and made it impossible for me to finish it, and when I reloaded I lost all progress
-> Saving didn't work, but I was on web so probably that's why
-The rolling spikes bugged sometimes and just went rolling wherever they wanted, it was actually pretty funny but I wanted you to know
This is my favorite entry so far! Difficult but not in an unfair way, i never felt like the game screwed with me (maybe a tiny bit with how fast the lava section was), it has loads of content, there were a few moments where i felt like i've seen everything and then bam, new upgrade. The only "real issue" i have is that fall speed is very fast and there were 1 or 2 moments where you had to do something while falling and even though the fall wasn't that big, input timing was very small for that simple action. 10/10 would play again
Damm, that was an impressively big one for a 30 day jam, well done!
Not only on size, but in quality too! the gameplay is super fun with cool mechanics, the graphics are simple but super stylish and the music also does a good job giving the neon vibes.
I really have no real complaints about this one, but not a lot to say about it either, it's just a very well made game.
(Quick Edit: I just remenbered a little nitpick I actually had: swapping to an enemy should give me a few i-frames. Sometimes 2 swappable enemies are either inside or too close to each other, so swapping to them actually deals some damage that feels kinda cheap)
Only thing I can say for sure that kinda screwed me up, was the fact the "New game" button is extremelly dangerous xD
Since there is no confirmation window when you click it and it just starts the new game instantly, I accidentaly deleted my entire progress once when I did a quick quit to warp to my last save point that was on the other side of the map. I myself didn't mind a lot since the game is very fun, and I got a chance to actually no-hit the first boss this way, but having to pick up all the upgrades again was certainly a little annoying, I'm pretty sure someone with less patience or less free time wouldn't have pushed throught to the end if this happened to them instead.
Anyway, here's me pogoing down the giant rectangle tower for no reason
Controller was very hard to use, I guess it acts as keyboard buttons, no discrete steps. Dead zone was minimal, so the character kept moving after releasing the joystick.
With keyboard it plays awesome though! Really good feel to the character, and he looks awesome. Really nice presentation with the glowing lines.
The audio is really good, I especially noted and loved the low-pass filter in the save room. It felt like being stepping outside of a club or something. Very cool!
I struggled with finding the slash though, but very nice cutscene when finding it! I did die soon thereafter and respawned miles away. I'm too bad at platformers...
Really cool entry, it stands out, I like it!

Broken Stuff:
I suspect this is going to be one of the most well done games I have played, you did really good on getting all of the polish/juice/etc done right, the game felt amazing, even as it kept killing me over and over. The only real downer for me is that the skill floor needed to get through the game ramped up to fast for me.
Awesome presentation. The neon esthetic is surprising and attractive, and there are some excellent little touches, such as the fluidity of the player character's animation (even though it's just a rectilinear shape!). Music is catchy but unobtrusive. Puzzles are clever, and there's a good variety of hazards/enemies. Very nice and useful map.
Some suggestions: I wasn't crazy about the control scheme. I found that using X to jump and C to attack while moving with WASD was not very intuitive, and kept having to look at the keyboard. Also, while the frequent checkpoints were excellent, dying and returning to the very beginning was frustrating.
I like the art style and level design of the game. My only problem was that i felt a bit directionsless in between. Cool stuff!
