I really like this game.

The theme is consistent with both art and music ambience. I like the turn that is not the player who actually attacks and the way you could customize a little your experience through the star choices :)

The totem enemies with each different variation look great,  I like the weird static sound they make :D

What a nice experience. I love the calm and relaxing soundtrack and I think it really fits the minimalistic but very well executed pixel artwork. Together these two elements create a very interesting atmosphere. It's been mentioned in other comments but it is a bit difficult to aim enemies while trying to evade attacks, probably because both player and enemie have to be at the same height to hit one another and the fire ratio makes it easy for both shoots to be fired at the same time. However, the abundancy of checkpoints really helps and with a bit of practice, it gets easier. Great work!

The monochromatic art reminded me a bit of Limbo, which is cool! I liked how you can choose what power to get, though it felt a bit too limiting on where you can go after that. I agree with SzechuanSteve about combat, where it's difficult to avoid getting hurt when fighting enemies and is also pretty tough to line up certain shots. I actually liked how you restarted in the room you died in, otherwise I would have given up pretty quickly. Overall nice work!

Neat game! I really like the branching paths based on your upgrade choices (kind of a "choose your own metroidvania)". The art style is simple but it works really well here. The game controls well, although I found combat to be a bit frustrating as I had a lot of difficulty trying to dodge and line up my attacks. I think some enemies attack too soon/often. Also those drones can be really tricky to position to shoot them (especially in low ceiling rooms). I'd suggest maybe having them oscillate vertically to make them easier to hit. At least dying wasn't very punishing lol. Overall, I had fun playing this. Good job!

This is a very interesting concept! I like the way the game is really centered around the concept of user choice of path, both in terms of power ups and in what path you take to get places. There were a lot of places I never went, simply because I took another route.

would really like a map, but it risks undermining the "you don't know what you didn't choose" theme underlying these path decisions.

The combat is a bit simple, and there were some points where I felt it didn't give me opportunities to evade well (the tall walker shooting the moment it sees me, for example), but aside from possibly improving the telegraphing I think it works very well.

The art is nice and simple and has a clear aesthetic. I liked it! Having music and nice sounds was good, too.

The skitter sound of the spiders never stopped, on the version I played. May have been fixed since.
