Absolutely love the graphics! The music was fun as well! I found that it was a little too easy to hit things like the trash can. I was hoping for maybe like a double jump or just it being a little more forgiving when jumping over the items. Overall I like it though!
Enoyed, the only problem I find is the when the background start accelerating it gives a weird visual style where the obstacle move the starting speed but the background is faster.
Big fan of the character art, Enjoyed the endless runner aspect of it.
A minor bug I found is that if you hold left mouse after grinding the player continues to grind, It does not gives points tho, So I don't think it is that big of a deal.
Great work for 2 days!
Nice fun game! Having the grind on some objects or jump over others brings some nice decision making in a genre that is often just jump over everything. I did find a fun bug where if you mash the grind button instead of holding it you get to gain points way quicker since you get the 10 points per click. Anyway good work overall!
Thanks! It's nice to read some comments like this. We found that bug and decided to leave it so the score wasn't too slow and wait to increase the speed, the objects spawn in a random way so it could be awful waiting to spawn an object to grind.
JUEGARDO es super cómodo de jugar el entorno esta muy guay lo recomendaria
Muchas gracias :)
Pretty good endless runner. One point I’d like to point out is that the background looks pretty nice, but when it moves as fast as it does, it’s a little vertigo-inducing. We also had that problem in our game and we found desaturating the colors helped a lot with that.
Also, I think you might have the parallax effect the wrong way round; the foreground stuff should move faster than the background stuff, otherwise it looks like the foreground is moving forwards.
The scoring system could probably be a little more interesting.
Artwork and SFX were pretty nice and very theme-appropriate. The music loop could have benefited from being a little longer, but I enjoyed the vibes of it.
All in all, pretty solid entry, good job!
Thank you very much for all the advice and feedback. It's incredibly valuable to us.
This is our first time working on a project as a team and also our first time participating in a GameJam.
