Sorry, man, it's really cute, but really counter intuitive. Having the HUD show up above the pepperonis and not making it clear when the garbage chute has been used make it a little too hard to get a pizza done.
concept was fun and the music was enjoyable. the 4:3 ratio for me removed the full screen option so i couldnt see the cheese or sauce part. but the tutorial in the beginning helped me get those items cut off by the screen.
Really enjoyed this game, music fit well and the slipping mechanic was a really nice twist on this style of game! Some UI was cut off on my screen, but this may have been my fault idk. My only real critique is I think the slipping meter would have been better if it was placed below or above the character because I found it rather difficult to look in to the bottom left while frantically scrambling around a kitchen. Very fun and chaotic, loved it!
Well hello there fellow cooking game jammer! This idea is so cute, I love how expressive the main character animations are. That slipping mechanic is brilliant and turns it into a frantic puzzle game where you've got to plan every move while trying to get to each location, which I really enjoyed. Pixel art is excellent, music is groovy and a great idea in general.
I love it a lot! The music and sfx are good, the gameplay is fun (i actually do enjoy the slipping mechanic - it's funny), and the small character portrait is full of personality! Only issue is that it does clash a little bit with the other artwork.
The main gimmick - randomly slipping, fits the limitation really well, but comes with the caveat that it's rather frustrating. The gameplay is really simple and is mostly upheld by exactly that gimmick.
The music and soundeffects are okay.
The graphics on the other hand a re a mixed bag, the actual character art at the botton. It has a lot of personality. There is one problem though: It clashes with the other artwork. The other artworkalso clashes with itself due to the fact that the main character and the rest are at seemingly different reesolutions. It's jarring.
It's competently made atleast :>
