I actually thought this was real creative, I really liked the hand drawn instructions at the beginning, they explained it pretty well. Reminded me of a 2010s flash game in the best way!

Who is Mike Hawkins tho and why do red cylinders hate him so much? I feel like I'm out of the loop lol

Developer

Mike Hawkins is an Elite superspy coming out of retirement to retrieve the item he loves most dearly from the evil Doktor Victor Wormstrong in his secret lair. The red cylinders are his genetically enhanced super worms and the Doktor uses their outstanding sound perception to seek out Mike. Thank you for the kind words!

Oh damn, there's deep lore here! I like the game way more with that tidbit, sounds like you have some stories you need to get out there :)

Cover art rules, btw (damnit Mike, put on your nightvision goggles!)

This game has a lot of potential, but is kinda of a landing pad for now. The music is inconsistent with the resets, and the diagonal top down view leaves you blind to get bum rushed by enemies on the bottom of your light radar. The light mechanic at full blast felt like a "come get me" signal, because all the red near a foot of your screen will immediately home towards you. I wish this game felt more satisfying to control, and I wish you the best of luck.

Thank you for the review gamer, I agree with all your points!

Nice way to incorporate the limitation into the player's mechanics
