Very fun variation on a classic 2d platformer game mechanic. Level design was pretty good, especially on the second to last level, took me like 10 attempts to complete that one.
Nice game bro :) really enjoyed it
Great idea and implementation! Good job!
Absolutely loved the walk animation and the palette was also superb! Not to mention, the concept backing the game was solid.
Very cool mechanic with the clones, especially how they kill you when they touch you. It creates both a sense of urgency and requires you to think out your moves so you don't accidentally collide!
Good Fun Game. I liked the art and color palette. I also liked that the clone can help, very cool idea!
Amazing game, and I enjoyed the use of the limitation!
Nothing says "we have met the enemy and he is us" like this game. Like okAI mentioned below, I constantly found myself berating past me for the stupid actions I took that screwed up my present. A really good use of the limitation and an excellent implementation of that idea.
The game plays really well, and while I didn't do very well at all, every time I died, it was immediately apparent that my own actions had caused this eventuality. Though with all the precision this game needs, I'd have liked to see a variable jump height.
The simple graphics are easy to read and fits well, and the chipper music served as an excellent soundtrack to the fall of my sanity.
Great Introduction to the mechanics, as well as overall presentation!
When I was thinking of ideas for this limitation, I really wanted an idea that would make the player think "Why did I do that." to themselves, and this game definitely succeeded at making me think that. Wondering why I ran all the way into a corner when I needed to go the other way, killing out my hiding spot.
The coins sometimes act as good bait too, where it is easy to pick them up, but by getting all of them next to each other, sometimes it makes it harder to traverse back. Which also made me realize that coins can be an indicator to where I haven't been, which was a nice realization point.
The game can get pretty hectic when you've been in a level for a long time, I got some pretty narrow escapes on the last level, as well as thinking to myself "What would I do?" when trying to dodge my past self.
Would be cool to see more mechanics added, like maybe using the door buttons as a bridge since they flip up, maybe needing 2 buttons held at once to cross a gap. As well as other random objects.
14:17, (Pretty slow :/) Nice game!
Great idea, we loved it!
The game is very good. It is moderately simple both in graphics and in music. The second theme of the game with enemies is very well implemented, but the color mechanics are poorly done. It certainly works well, but you expect something more from a game on the theme of color. And the game is very good.
A bystander here to just note that you don't need to use the color theme in the jam; only the limitation needs to be included. From the jam page: "Remember, theme is purely inspirational and not required."
Good game!! It’s an interesting idea :)
Nice execution of the idea, controls were a bit heavy and on ice, but that added a flavor to the gameplay
Even I made a similar game but without the artwork and elaborate levels and colors at center.
Very good game! I like it!
Super nice! Great game mechanic! <3
Very nice! Felt very polished.
This is my favorite one so far! :D
I really like the concept! The player felt a bit heavy and slippery to control but I think it added a bit to the difficulty of getting yourself in the right spot^^ Also, loved the pixel art! Cute!
Actually a really cool game, reminded me of the Badeline parts in Celeste. Nice job!
I really liked this game! It was hard trying to open the doors lol
