Well, the shotgun is in the game. But it's not exactly mechanically shotgun. It could have been any other weapon and nothing would change.
Shotgun (as a weapon) is usually characterized by short range of fire, significant recoil and large bullet spread. And there is nothing like it in the game.
Also in the culmination part of the game it rather resembles machine gun when a shotgun, but that's just nitpicking.
Hi, thanks for the reply, you're right. Well, it has significant recoil when you fail a shoot, punishing the player with time loss. But yea, I could though about a better implementation.
The graphics and music for this game are really well done! It was a little hard to spot ghosts due to the size of the light, but still really fun to play
A bit easy up until the end, that was a laugh, haha. I'm a big fan of the presentation, the sound effects are really good too!

Rather neat! I liked the tension it gives you with the candles lighting up!
The sound effects seemed very fitting, except for when a ghost was hit, it felt too "magical" and positive. The lack of a background music added to the creepiness.
I did not understand how did I start that frenzy mode that ends with the win situation, is it always at a fixed amount of ghosts taken down? The first time I saw it it seemed to happen right after I shot a common portrait.
Leaving the gun pointing at the middle makes it rather easy to see ghosts appearing, maybe slightly dimming the area of view could counter that strategy. Also, the gun seemed to get wonky if the mouse went out of the portraits area, nothing big though.
I would add some sort of text to the game over because when it ended I watched the blood spilling and thought I had to reload, but just a click seemed to bring me back to action.
All in all, a very nice creepy environment you got there! Congratulations! (Curiously I managed to get exactly 104 ghosts in both runs I won!)

I think these audio and graphics are one of the best at this jam. I played this game at 2 am and was so impressed by these sound effects with a candel light effect.
