Nice grid system as hexagon is the bestagon,
Very charming. I really like the idea of a an island/deckbuilder. The game is a bit wonky, I had a bunch of seagulls that decided to congregate into a single white ball and i jokingly created a religion around it in my head(all hail the might seagullball). I think the game itself has lots of variety, wanna make an alpine wonderland, wanna make a beautiful ocean vista, you can. I think there is room for expansion. Great work, and thank you for sharing.
The noise function on the particle system sometimes gives those strange results. It definitely needs polish as I ran out of time, but I hope to get to that when the rating is over.
What an interesting idea! It took me a bit to figure out what was going on but when it finally clicked it really clicked! Cool to see the whole island come together, and it's neat you used a hex grid rather than a square grid like most other games!
Thanks for playing! I hope to add more and put in a better introduction after the jam.
Loved the way the island stuff combined as you play the cards - very well down
Thanks! I'm glad you liked the island building, that part was by far where I spent the most time.
The animations are great and really give the card game a kick. I loved getting my first goats.
Thanks! The animals turned out really cute.
As someone who rarely works in 3D or hex grids because they make my brain hurt, I was blown away by this game. I loved seeing the progression of my island, and I was surprised at how excited I got once the little animal cards started appearing in my deck,
Awesome job!
(also 24 cookies, that's impressive)
Thanks! Hexes was one of the parts that I hadn't done before and I really wanted to make it work.
