I noticed it required some additional installations, like certain C++ content, and a system restart.
However, these are minor details. The animated text introduction was an excellent touch that provided context, which I truly appreciated. Your use of Unreal and the transition to 3D showcases significant effort, and I commend you for that.
The character design stands out as both aesthetically pleasing and functional, complemented wonderfully by the environment and visual effects. I did experience some frame drops, but that could very well be due to my computer's settings. The controls felt a tad challenging, particularly in mid-air direction changes, but that's a common trait in 3D games.
All in all, crafting a 3D game is no small feat, and you've done a splendid job. Congratulations on your remarkable achievement! Kudos.
Wow, I'm really glad for your feedback, I really appreciate it, it was a very professional feedback, and answering the first part, I program in blueprints, and indeed I wish I had more time to add a menu according to the aesthetics, and a Game Over screen that you could control when to reset, but the short time only let me put an estimated delay to reset the game in case of losing, and in case of completing the game only comes out the thanks that you have played it. Regarding the detail of the introductory story at the beginning, I added it at the last moment because there were already screens to explain what was happening in the story, but I wanted to give context to the story I created. I'm glad you appreciated that detail, regarding FPS drops it could also be that I couldn't dedicate all the time I wanted to optimize the game as I wanted, thanks for appreciating every detail and I hope you liked as much as I did the visuals and sounds implemented, I really put a lot of effort in this work, it's my first Jam and first game posted so I was quite nervous about it, I'm glad to know that someone noticed more details than usual.
Great concept! I really like this type of game where you need to explore to find out what you have to do. I had fun playing! My only criticisms would be that it was a little difficult to jump from the couch to the shelf haha, but there's a good chance I'm just a noob
I apreciate bro, I love games like this, with good visuals and something cool to find, unfortunatly I didnt have enough time to spend in every detail of the game, just the visuals took me many hours of my day. But tell me, you complete the game? did you like the history?
Yeah yeah, I completed it! I liked the story, I think it has a lot of potential of building amazing puzzles in different locations. The enemy would always be the magical book?
Yep, I think the same but Im not sure if Im going to continue this project because I need more feedback, I put so much effort and its only me, I dont have a team so its hard to choose, the best animations, the best effects, the best sounds and music, and obviously the hard work of programing everything and designing the level, so Im not sure if this story dies here. But if its not, I will be adding the wizard who owns the magic book.
