First of all, the menu is very creative, it remembers my childhood time when I used Scratch.I really love it.
Besides, the sprites are very well done and the goals of the game are very well done. However, this game has a high difficult I would want and sometimes, I can not play more than 2 minutes.
All in all, you did a good game, congratulations.
I really think you'd be better off not having a custom cursor at all instead of having a cursor that's way too big for the actual cursor hitbox which results in the navigation of the game feeling very frustrating to play through. It honestly took a while to just start playing the game because I didn't think my clicks were registering. But that aside, I actually found the gameplay loop quite fun if not a bit overwhelming, this is definitely very promising considering it's your first jam and under such a brutally strict time limit keep up the good work!
The enemies were too fast and their hit-box too small for me to click on them. I could not last more than 10 seconds before they swarmed the center. And the custom cursor clicks on the middle instead of the tip, which is confusing. Changing those things would make it way more playable.
Then I tried to create portals, but it did not seem to work. Was it clicking, right clicking, dragging...?
And for moving the camera, only the arrows worked, not WASD. The initial position and size is good enough already to see the incoming enemies from a distance, but it was also a good option to make it possible to move it.
The graphics are pretty clean and easy to read, make me wish I could interact with all those objects.
The main menu is a little buggy, but I liked what you did with it, quite original. Adding another option to check again how to play would be useful.
Thank you so much for such an answer! Unfortunately, this is my first "Jam" and the whole game has been made in recent days, now I am fixing bugs and I will re-release the game without bugs. I will also add a video that for some reason does not load itch.io . There was no time, so there are so many bugs.. I'll fix it)
Sure thing, I also could not finish my game in time and had to upload an update the day after the due date (luckily this jam allows doing that). It was just my opinion, though, maybe I am just slow at precision clicking.
Anyway, congrats on submitting on your first jam!
