Anything that reminds me of Uplink gets a stamp of approval.

A tad barebones now, but the core systems work great. You should develop this further.

I feel like we've definitely all been there where we get lost in the concept and push playability to one side. I can't even begin to count the number of times I've done that because it's so easy to get caught up in your own vision. But despite that I still think the concept here is awesome, I think with less obtuse setup and a less text heavy tutorial it could be a really awesome spin on the rpg genre! These kinds of highly conceptual projects really do just require a lot of tweaking to get that player experience juuustt right, you've definitely got something here!

I also had so much fun making the game that I didn't see that the game itself was not so fun. In the end, I join game jams mainly to experiment and learn, and I did just that. Thank you for the feedback!

I loved the concept and clearly a lot of work went into the setup and it was a great take on the limitation. It just wasn't a whole lot of fun to play, I felt like I was just downloading software and reading a web tutorial.

I think the idea has great potential. Just maybe tweak the tutorial a bit to draw the player in more?

I agree, I focused too much into the simulation aspect, and by the time I had it working I realized that it was tedious getting to the point you can attack other networks. If I had to do it over, I would go full RPG gameplay, attacking random devices from the start in turn-based battles, taking control of them and using them to attack again.

Thank you for the feedback!

Cool idea, could use some improvements to the usability and some more work to make the hacking clearer and to give a better goal of what you need to do. I did not manage to hack anything, maybe I am a bad hacker 🥲

Nice prototype
