Feels like a good hacking minigame (shades of Among Us). You got me a few times on the color changing nodes, but that's good, it kept me on my toes and prepared me for the madness of the later levels.
I am very glad that you liked the game, we work hardly to make it. Thanks for your message
I initially was just cruising through this game not really thinking too much and then boom level 11 hit, the head of the wire was different from the body and it COMPLETELY threw me for a loop. That really made me sit up from my chair it was such a perfect subversion of my expectations for the game right when I was going into head empty mode while playing it. I cannot compliment enough just how smartly laid out these levels are!
I am pleased you liked the concept. The firsts levels were made to make that feeling and keep you attentives. We are very happy about comments like yours:)
I personally love the music! Definitely made it more exciting as the levels went on. I also appreciate how the difficulty gradually ramped up with the already connected lines. You did a great job of coming up with a concept that fit both the theme and limitation perfectly. Really cool game, congrats!
Thank you!I am really happy because you express a giod feedback to our results;)
I enjoyed this game, very chilled. Just when I starting thinking its a bit samey...BAM! Dots that already have lines. Also liked how the timer and level numbering reinforced progression and the highscore encouraged replaying
Thank you for your message. I am happy about your feelings that you felt:)
I love the game concept, and it was enjoyable enough that you nearly made me bust out my drawing tablet to see if I could beat my pb with it, (in the end laziness won, smh),
The only real complaint I have is that the music was too, lets say, invasive if that makes sense. While it didn't take away from the experience, I felt that it didn't quite fit.
Other than that, there's the inconsistent pixel sizes, which is a strong negative in my opinion, along with the ugly UI. However, these oversights are understandable when working in a game jam, so it's not too bad.
The working with the limitation, while it technically fit, and better than some I have played, feels sort of like avoiding it rather than working with it. I'll admit that is somewhat minor, but I wanted to say it anyway.
Overall, a strong submission, among the best I've played so far this jam! Sometimes simplicity is best, and picking a simple concept and flushing it out is better than trying to do as much mediocre things as possible, this game is a demonstration of that.
Thank you for your review:)
Yes, the music does not represent the real feeling of the game but we do not want to use another music so we decided to make our own music. At the end, it was the result. We know it can be better but we are happy with the results.
Besides, I do the best pictures i could do with the pressure we were having but thanks;).
Finally, we decided to do a game whose limitation was not in the gameplay at all so you are right with your sppech.
Thank you for playing:D
For a game about connecting wires, it was well done. Great job!
Thanks!
Fun little game! The only thing I would like is for it to be clear "when" you lose? I played three times and each time it's not clear why I'm losing. Is it just a timer? Is it misclicks? Other than that I really enjoyed the presentation and the fun little beatboxing music!
Hi, thanks for the review. I agree with you that it's not very clear "when" you lose cause the lose menu is too large and covers everything. But the only way to lose is to connect wrong wires, so...
Actually, there's an interesting game mechanic that starts working from level 8. To understand what it does you have to play slower.
I really love how much effort I believe that you guys put into this game, it just wasn't executed properly. Some critiques, the art style is fine but the solid colors make it plain, and also the pixel sizes, if you plan on making pixel art based designs, it would usually be better if the objects in the game had the same pixel size scales, it would look much more pleasing.
I think you guys put too much time on the design and especially the background music which is awesome btw. Maybe next time you guys should allot time on the game concept, I feel it was lacking on that side too. Anyways, it was still a finished game which is an accomplishment by itself, congrats!
Hi, thanks for the review. I agree with the first part of your comment. But what is exactly wrong with the game concept?
Hey there, don't take my word for it, but from my perspective, the idea of connecting wires is a bit too common with the theme connections. Maybe additional features could have made it much better such as a score system, or maybe a mistake system where you can only make 3 mistakes, or time pressure, any of those would gladly make it more enjoyable and not too bland or plain. Btw nothing is wrong with your game concept, just from my opinion it could possibly have been improved.
