Nice game. Art is great! the game is kinda hard tho. I tried to speedrun this thing and I got stuck here lol. image.png

(in the white bar at the top xD)

Overall: GG!

Developer

This happened once during testing! I knew you could get through without the fin, and got stuck trying, I couldve just added a reset box or something but I thought it was kinda funny

This is super well put together! Adored the style, managed to get to the Sea Monarch but got destroyed in the end. Everything felt super satisfying, and think this is one of my fav entries so far!

Welp… The game looks nice from the screenshots but I can’t run it. When I try to download it I get a windows warning saying that the “System Windows cannot open folder. Compressed Folder (zip) of name path of the file is invalid” (< translated to english).

I’m not gonna rate it now, but it would be rly cool to play it.

Developer

Interesting, first one to have this issue, are you not even able to access the archive itself? I uploaded just the .exe as a separate file to download (didn't actually know that was possible), so you shouldn't even have to mess with the archive

Oh I downloaded the game from the main page, not this one. Well now it works! Ima play it and rate (prob tmrw cause it’s really late for me rn). Thx!

Very fun and interesting project, although some issues with the map overlapping the stats window, but that's pretty minor. You can also go through the timed gate without getting the fast fins upgrade lol, but that's not much of a sequence break. Overall, really great game! Great art, sound, and concept. Well done :]

Developer

Haha, I knew about the timed gate, getting the time right without it being too tedious with the fin was more work than I was willing to commit, and the fins aren't really necessary for anything either. I was thinking about making the game window always on top, but I didn't want to hide the window during the last fight, so I figured it was minor enough to not worry about it

really good game i enjoyed it the first boss is too hard i keep dieing at it i kill it then it comes back but good game overall :)

Developer

Ahh, I had reloaded the game entirely on death, while carrying over coins keys and abilities, I forgot to include dead bosses too. Better ways to handle dying for sure, but it was just something I threw together real quick. Glad you liked it!

this is such a cute idea and clever use of the limitation. i keep dying on the first boss (eel?) though which is tragic because i did want to keep exploring

Eel! You can heal up on the jellyfish, they respawn on room exit/enter. I may have gotten a little carried away with the bullet hell aspect though, I toned it down a bit in an update if you wanted to try again!
