What I love about this is game is the visuals those are awesome you really make a tremendous job right there :) Gui & Character & Movie like style just plain awesome

What I think you could work on:
1. Gun could do more to enemies like indication of damage and  some effect when the die would give more satisfaction to the player
2. You should be able to crouch and shoot
3. You have some minor bugs with stairs
4. Enemies AI could have more if's ;]

Awesome work !

Nice entry you got, it even has a win condition and cool retro looking UI. It has some really cool looking retro art and the feel of the game plays really well just like classic Castlevania game. Although I think it needs a more unique core mechanic.

I like these pixel graphics... The jump was a bit hard to control and i kept falling in the area behind the stairs and got stuck... Also when you crouch you only shoot... Keep on it...

Whoops! I painted them as ground tiles by accident, my bad! It's fixed now, thanks for letting me know.

FYI: I played the 1.0.1 patched version.

I really liked the art! The gradient on the ground and the sky in the outside area is lovely.

The combat was tough to get used to, and like HalfAlieno I got stuck after falling in that down in that staircase area. Traversing the gaps is challenging.

Action games can be tough to get the movement and tuning nailed down for a jam (I know my game is a bit clunky in parts), but this was a good effort! Nice job!

Fixed!

Great idea, as a classic vania fan I really like!

Why the mouse for shoot and stab? Also if in the house you fall down the first staircase you can't get back on track...

I liked the frogs

Very nice pixel art, would really like if there were at least some indication of how much health you have, unless i missed it.

UI is turned on now, I fixed the bug that was causing my build to crash. Have fun!

Nice Art, maybe the Camera was a little bit bad x)

Developer

So bad! Since I had to do art by myself my programming suffered. It’ll be snappier in the next build. Thanks for trying it out!

Hey Zap! The camera is fixed, I added an offset.
