i really liked your game! one of the bests of jam! art and sounds create an almost perfect atmosphere. great job!
if ducks came into screen less frequent it'd match better with the overall mood of the game. just an opinion!
Thanks for the reply! Huh, you are not the first to mention that. Interesting. Maybe it's a good idea after all.
The aiming is great, I played lot of RPGs as a sniper and I like this scope and its movement :D
Maybe there should be less ducks. The player is not forsed to hunt quick, so I think that bigger spans between duck appearance should be better to add more relaxing feelings. But that's just my opinion.
Nice game.
Thanks for reply! I think that there is no time limit and you wasn't punished for missing ducks is too relaxing already for action game. :) But maybe you are right. Actually I thought of some time counting and leader board, but after all there is always new projects.
Nice concept and well executed. Now it only lacks a bit of progression, like kill X ducks in Y seconds or something and it keeps getting harder
Thanks for reply! Yeah, I have not so much time for it. Now I think that it must have more priority than art and music, I guess. :)
I enjoy playing this! It's very satisfying when I kill a duck, those blood particle effects are pretty cool. I also like that the ducks have different speeds that adds variation to the game.
Thanks for reply! It was interesting to create death animation with particles and stuff. Thanks for notising that particles, it's new things to me. :)
absolutely love the art its so well polished and the audio really fitting but i felt the pacing to be a little slow maybe a timer could increase the tension but that would change the game and change the atmosphere of the game altogether which i believe might not be what you might be going for but you really captured the theme so well
Thanks for the reply! I thought of timer to add some tention and made game more faster, but didn't have time for it.
art is great and audio too. pretty well polished. gameplay is serviceable but does get old. maybe slow down the spawning and bird speed, then give a penalty if they go out the right side of the screen? though ofc that would radically change the feel of the game and i get it if that's not what you were going for. all in all pretty well done little game.
Thanks for reply! Yeah, actually, I thought of countdown of time and creating a scoreboard. Maybe 20 ammo is better than 30. Your idea is interesting. I never think of that kind of game. Unfortinately you are right - it will be another game. :)
This game is simple, clean; and fun! With some Duck Hunt retro hunting nostalgia of course!
The movement of the scope is really nice, it feels like how an actual rifle would be aimed in a game way. (Full disclosure I've never actually hunted before). It's a nice, relaxing, hunting game but not at all peaceful for the birds being hunted.
The visuals are really clean! The audio is on spot and makes the game even more fun and well put together!
Thanks for reply! You get what I wanted player to feel and I'm happy about it.
