I wanted to make a challenging game but I think I made it a bit too hard, maybe I'll try adding difficulty options next time.
I couldnt figure the controls out at first, then I actually read the 'How to play' document. My bad. once I got started thought it was really fun! the draining health made me play fast and recklessly which was fun! the fishing minigame to increase your health is really cool to! it felt like my fault the I had low HP.

Ahah yeah, the controls are a little un-intuitive, I wanted to add in game instructions but I ran out of time, glad you got to grips with them eventually though. I'm glad you enjoyed you enjoyed the game though. Thank you for playing!

Nice art direction and melee mechanics! definitely was fun to beat up the enemies. only thing I didn't like was how stiff the jump felt, maybe make the jump stop on keyup? its a minor thing but I feel it would improve control during combat. nice job on this.
Ah yes you're right the jumping would really benefit from some more control, not sure why I never thought of that!

You're absolutely right, I think if I was to make this again I would either put it all on the keyboard or move the attacking to the mouse.
