Very nice! Love the aesthetic, and the game was a lot of fun to play! I didn't quite understand what the torches were for? I built a bunch, but they didn't appear to do anything. Really cool idea, and I liked how you evoked a sense of the desolation and despair with your narrative.
Thanks!
The torches boost damage to enemies near them. I should have but more in game to make that clearer
Oh cool! That's a nice touch. A torch touch! Haha. Thanks!
I like how it turned out! Though it could help if there was a tutorial level.
Thanks!
I always plan doing a tutorial level and leave it as last thing to do. And then I forget to do it
Really enjoyed the gameplay and artstyle, but I feel like the player-made torches are too dim compared to the main one. Still a really fun game though!
Thanks!
The torch light I had to completely remove since too many Godot 2d lights is really bad for performance on html5. They still mechanically work just the light effect is not there. They have light effects on the downloadable version.
Very cool and spooky concept! I feel like this could expand into something really neat, with barricades and so on.
Thanks! Original plan had barricades as build option but I had some issues with path finding. I was using the Godots tileset one for the first time and wasn't sure what I was doing. I worried adding barricades would make the issues even worse.
