Reminds a little of "getting over it", except checkpoints. I did beat it and I actually am one of the few people that will play rage games if they are short. I found stage 3 to be the hardest and while playing it I was going to say meh, but the controls do feel intentional and the player learning from trying things out isn't bad. I think though the game lacks one thing a terrible soundtrack playing over it. Like if its gonna be terrible controls might as well go all the way. And then whenever you die do the "I want to be the guy" death sound thingy. and then for the the player to press "r" to restart or something. But either way nice!

Thanks for the review! I do think you're entirely right, I would've added a soundtrack if I thought I would've been able, though I'm not quite experienced in adding sounds in unity. I'm currently working on a small project to get me more familiar with the sound system, so if I come back to this game I will definitely implement a lot of demoralizing sounds!

Completed it!
It's definitely a good rage game, had me wanting to quit a lot! The floaty controls are key part of the game, as frustrating as it is, but when I had trouble even getting to the main sections of the map because of the floaty controls I think it got too frustrating, easing that a bit I think could keep player engagement. In areas like this for example, having solid ground where you don't slide in, since they are not really the main platforming section, what the player wants to do after falling is to try again, and if you can ease their re-entry to the stage you can reduce that extra frustration.

Thank you for the review!

I did design the way back to the attempt for stage 1 to be difficult, the extra frustration of getting back is something I did want. Though for stage 3 I definitely think that suggestion is very valid and if I continue working on this some I will take it into consideration. I hope you still had fun through all the frustration though!

Yeah, it was nice beating it :)

This game is definitely interesting. I can see what I'm supposed to do, but it's definitely hard. Honestly can't decide whether I love or hate the controls. I think with more time I could come to love how speedy they are. I think this could definitely be a really fun game with some refining.

Thanks for the feedback! I recommend beating the game if you haven't yet, it only gets harder as it goes. The controls are very similar to the first iteration of testing I did because I loved the frustrating feeling they brought on and I'm glad they got across that way.

Challenging controls made it difficult experience, it was hard to keep the character under control meaning I couldn't time the jump onto the pink springy bit. When I finally made it (after a good number of attempts, I bounced back to the bottom after hitting the blue patch and that just made me want to quit. The colour scheme was very basic and sound would have made the game better. Easier and more responsive controls would have kept me interested longer.

Thank you for the feedback! I updated the game page to reflect this information. Sorry for the lack of sound though, I didn't quite have the time to implement it.
