If I have an item bobbing up and down on a sine wave, does that count as more than one frame?

Since its just translation/rotation and not a sprite change, I guess it doesn't count.

Wouldn't that be similar to a keyframe animation?

What about color changing effects?

Item bobbing is allowed, color changing is allowed if there is no transition.
