The theme is Retro game with a twist. I will add an extra 7 hours to the time frame to make up for that.

I used to use Unity. I decided to use GDevelop for this game jam because it is open source, and GitHub does run this jam.

I'm using GDevelop (for the first time)

Counts (Please correct me if i'm wrong):

GDevelop: 1

Wade: 1

Unity: 6

Godot: 3

Unreal: 1

Babylon.js: 1

Love2D: 1

GameMaker Studio 1.4: 1

I was having a lot of trouble getting anything to work in the larger resolution, which is why I settled for 300x400. As for everything else, I ran out of time.

I use it to prevent me from being able to use any other colors.

it basically stores the color as where it is in the palette as opposed to rgb values

If you decide to use indexed mode in aseprite, you have to add a new color to the start of the imported palette. If you don't, you will end up not being able to use the first color in the sprite (aseprite wants that one to be transparent).

I think it can be anything you want as long as it fits the limitation

Try changing your browser's zoom. That seemed to fix to for one of my friends who had this problem

I will fix that after the ratings period is over.

This would be a great mobile game!

If I have an item bobbing up and down on a sine wave, does that count as more than one frame?
