Sadly I couldn't play it because I don't own an Xbox Controller, but I think the art gives a lot of personality to the game.

I absolutely loved the illustration, and the game is fun. I'm not really used to xbox controller buttons so it was a bit tough for me though.

I can't play this game, it is a cool concept, but I think it is out of theme challenge.

In any case, good job!

If you look at the rules it says "Remember, theme is purely inspirational and not required. Feel free to interpret it however you want."

while "The limitation is a special condition that your game must follow"

Theme: optional

Limitation: mandatory

I read the same rules, I just said my opinion, then I have offended none.

Have a nice day! (o´∀`o)

Thanks :)
For the use of theme challenge, instead of going for an overall future theme we used it in one of the game mechanics. At the bottom of the screen the players can see the buttons they should press in order, before they need to press them. This practically gives an insight into future to the players, similar to how it was used in Tetris with the next block image. Sorry that you couldn't play our game because of controller requirement. We'll make sure to include multiple control schemes in our next attempt :)

Not to worry!  We'll be sure to update the game to support more controls once the jam is completely over. We didn't have time to implement more controls and we don't feel good about updating the game to support more during the rating period.

Keep an eye on our page to make sure you know when we update, we'll be more than happy to have you play our game :)

Cool entry, Balancing the pirates was pretty hard. I think I wouldn't have minded a version where you were just playing the rhythm game, but the pirates definitely gave the game alot of personality. Good art + good music + simple rhythm gameplay is a win for me. Great work

Great storytelling, the art was great too! I feel like this was a really unique design. I don't know what to say other than the fact that I enjoyed playing it. Thank you for making this game :)

good storytelling and nice arts! love it

Ok so, I've never played rhythm games much mostly guitar hero when over at a friends 9 years ago and I now remember how bad I really am. The highest I could get is something like 67700 on pirate house and I swear even that was a fluke. Anyway on to the review.

I think when the notes appear they should be color coded to make their more distinguishable, other rhythm games that have you play to a beat have color indications because reading is slow and colors are fast. It's a weird thing but that's it the only other thing I can say could be better was the ability to show the tutorial again. The game was really good I can tell but just not my cup of tea, I'm sorry.

Thank for the review! We'll definitely look into your feedback when we decide to continue developing the game! Thank you for your 2 cents!
