Ok so it took me a while to understand why I was failing but I now realize this is a advanced game of spot the difference but you have to play through it a few times to know and remember the other characters.

I think that a bit of interactivity from the characters might be a good way to help the player identify if the character is a monster or a child, as there are very minute differences between the characters that at times seem... contradictory... like the skeleton monster having a blue eye when most of the other kids as monsters have blue eyes under their costume. or one pixel of difference in the vampire eyebrows to their teeth length. I am not saying it's bad but it could do with more directive to determine the correct option.

For a first time experience I might also suggest that adding in some lives would make the player feel less bad about themselves for failing instantly not knowing the various costumes.

I had a fun time once I started figuring things out but a goal or alternative rewards other than score would have been nice.

It was very fun. At first I had trouble differencing the children from the monsters, but as the game progressed I started picking up the subtle differences there were between the two. Great game!

Lovely, kawaii, and enjoyable. Maybe more characters could be difficult, but hats or things to wear that randomly take the characters could be an extra things that leave a feeling of no-repetition process. Love it! More of this in the next JAMs please!

Also, go to https://youtu.be/6HjwUHob07Y and comment where are you from and why you love games. That would be gratefull for me and I will be able to follow in all your social media pages if you comment there.

To break repetition we thought adding event happening randomly that change the rules and adding layers of complexity in the rules. Like ghost are friendly now. Or blood moon, you have to treats monsters and trick children. But unfortunately we didn't get time to implement it. Maybe in the post jam build.

Excellent, that would be awesome! Send me a text if you redo the build after the jam ends.

The art is suuper cool. And I like the idea of the game, this choosing fast betwen monster or child. But as they all mentioned before, distinguish sometimes may seems... quite randomized (I know the game is not, it just seems like so...) But great game. Truly enjoyed it!

Great visuals, nice concept but it is not easy to distinguish monsters from children. I dont get how am I supposed to know if this is a monster or a child.

Wondeful UI and visuals on those monsters. I know that the game is about figuring out who the monster is but sometimes it's quite hard to distinguish.
