i died quite big amount. thank u
I'd like to play with the version that implements the features that were supposed to be added.
The screen distortion effect is interesting, but it makes it difficult to recognize distant footholds. If this is not what you are aiming for, you may want to adjust the amount of the effect or the zoom of the camera.
Sure thing i might develope a finished Version with all the Abilities of Game! And it is intended to be a bit harder so you can develope a sense for the game :D
Some feedback from me:
The visuals are great, I love the camera effect, and the graphics are quite pretty.
You should always make sure that the player can see where they are supposed to jump to. 'Blind' jumps (where you can't see the platform you should be landing on next) are always frustrating because whether you succeed or lose is not really up to you.
I strongly recommend making sure that your game has sound and music, even if they're fairly basic. (There are plenty of resources online for free music and sounds.)
Yes you are right i should have added a zoom feature of some kind! Ty for your feedback :))
Hardcore, but I like it. Post-processing looks very interesting and makes the effect of moving the character unusual, as if the camera is a little 3d. Of the minuses, I can probably only say that the font is too dark, otherwise it's cool.
Thank you very Kind, appreciate your Feedback!
I really liked the visual of the game. I think staying on moving objects would be a good idea.
Ty for your feedback, I think you are very right in what you‘ve pointed out.
Well done!
I like the art style a lot and I think that the camera effect is really cool, do you know what it is called, I would like to learn how to add it in my games as well.
I think one way the platforming could be improved would be to zoom the camera out, because right now I often found myself taking a leap of faith hoping to land on a platform that I couldn't see. I also seem to get stuck on the edges of the platforms, so maybe adding a slippery material to it could make this less frequent. But nice job for being your first game jam :D
Ofc i can tell you how i added the effect but for that u need to tell me which one specifacally you are talking about :D. And thank you a lot, on my next platformer i will think about the slippery platforms and the Zoom.
Ty for your honest review :D
I was thinking of the effect where the objects seems to be curved slightly if they are at the edge of the screen, this can be seen clearly in the beginning to the left.
Oh i have applied some Post-Processing and used the Lens Distortion effect.
Just played your game and you have a nice foundation for a game.
Since you asked for feedback I think the most important thing for these platformers is to have a solid level design. A short but carefully planned level would make this game so much better. I hope you will continue making jams and hope to see another game of yours in the future!
ty alot for being honest, i think you are very right in what you´ve said! This game was supposed to be more polished and refined but sadly i started to late because of private appointments. It was supposed to have features like slowmotion, a leaderboard and more features. And in the Level design aspect i think u are also right, the level design was way to simple and confusing at the same time, i will try to improve that !
