The art & general aesthetic reeled me in as if i was a fly to your tongue, good job on that, the vibe makes me think of childrens books.
The gameplay was definitely buggy, but I think you had done work in the right places. I liked the different behaviour between the bouncing flies and the dive-bombing crickets. It made for a fun experience and the fact that the tongue was sticky in it's entirety made the game fun to get multiple flies with.
This is a truly buggy experience, kinda lols though.
Anyways I had fun, def did a good job, just a bit more elbow grease woulda made this solid.
Would appreciate it if you could try mine and give it a comment/rate :)
Funny tongue 👀
Good work for only having a weekend to make the game! The tongue kept coming out of the head which made it hard to catch the flies.
Keep up the good work!
Fine game but indeed a lot of bugs, lots of tongue glitches and restarting, the bugs wouldnt spawn for me. Other than that the game looked pretty fine aesthetically, nothing too out of proportion.
With a little more polishing and ui the game will end up lookin gud. I rated yours, check mine out too if ya could hehe.
Enjoyment: As you say, buggy, but I can see it being very satisfying with a bit more polish.
Concept: It's solid! Not particularly novel, but a good core mechanic nonetheless.
Presentation: I like the colour choice. The "don't let them get here" sign was also good, as it made it very clear what the goal was. Unfortunately, the frog's tongue kept glitching out of his head, which made it very difficult to catch anything.
Use of the Limitation: I reckon score attack was a good way to approach this limitation.
