The character has a box he can use to hide from enemies and the player will get more and more paranoid the more he is hit, losing trust in what he sees.

Your game is my big favorite <3 I particularly loved the animation of the character who turns into cardboard. :) Thank you for this little moment of fun.

Exceptional polish! The animations, the character design, the lighting, it's all above what is expected of such a short jam. The gameplay is, by and large, great as well. I have two problems: the monsters not being visible when not lit is a great choice, of course, but do make sure not to cheap out the players with it. After the first breakroom, there is a monster hiding around the corner and, when a player approaches, it will not be naturally lit by their flashlight. You sort of just need to know that it's there. Secondly, I'm afraid that hiding was a bit inconsistent for me. I understand you get hit when the animation is still underway, but I've also gotten hit after the animation had already finished and the box had been settled for a few moments. This made me avoid using the hiding mechanic, which is, of course, supposed to be an important mechanic for the game.

These were really my only problems with the game. It's very impressive, how much you managed to achieve in such a short time.

Thank you so much for playing our game! Sorry to hear you’re having a struggle with the box though. By the sounds of it you are jumping in the box when the enemy is still close by and can see you, what you need to do is run away from the enemy so it can’t see you and then jump in the box when it’s out of your line of sight. :D

Great job! I just didn't fully understand how weapon reloading works. Special thanks for the excellent sound!

Developer

Thank you so much! Sorry that the UI is a little unclear, basically down the bottom left are 3 numbers, the bottom two that sit next to each other is your current ammo in your clip and full clip size. For example, “9/15” would mean you have 9 bullets in your clip. As for the number above those two numbers, that’s your ammo that is not loaded in a clip and can not be fired until it’s loaded into the gun, if you have no bullets outside of the clip you can’t reload and if you have no bullets inside of the clip you can’t shoot. Hope this lets you better understand the reload system and thank you for playing our game! :)
