So the plan is to escape the burning room by unlocking the doors and move up. There are 2 switch in the game, one that can open and the other will do the opposite.

Actually I kinda struggle on how to implement the clock thing to the game.

So since there's an escape maybe I can add timer for speed runs and the ticking sounds for drama.

Adding more background songs and sound effects could have been great.

For the graphics and design, maybe the limited time kinda worked for my advantage as I just kept it minimal and clean. Tho there's a lot of things to learn on that department.

The gameplay itself is somewhat repetitive, as you are doing exact same steps from room 1 to 40.

It could have been way more fun and interesting if we have different challenges per room.

Thanks for playing my game. Thanks for all the words. I learned a lot of things during this jam. It was a fun experience.

ESCAPE ROOM 2 is coming :D

I'm not sure if it was just me, but I actually couldn't figure out how to move up.. However, I still wanted to share my thoughts on what I could! I thought the way in which the theme was interpreted was actually funny and unique, and the graphics were simple and clean! The little thermometer blob within the thermometer.. I loved it.. The movement felt smooth and the animation was a great addition too. While I can't comment on the gameplay, I think this seems like a really great first game jam entry! All the best for the future game jams

Thanks for the feedback. I'm still figuring things out, definitely a great learning experience tho.

Hoping to carry things I learned from this for my future projects and jams. Appreciate you all.

Not bad

Theme implementation:

You're in a thermometer, so there's definitely some temperature shenigans happening.

Special Feature Implementation:

Well, you hear a clock ticking and there's a timer, so I guess it's there.

Fun Factor:

A bit repetitive, but that's ok.

Gameplay:

There's a bit of a glaring oversight where you can just keep jumping as long as you're touching the ceiling. I guess it checks whether you're grounded by seeing if you're touching a ground tile, which is a flawed system for that very reason.

Audio:

Very repetitive. Some music would have been nice.

Graphics:

Simple, but effective. The main problem is I think the screen shake is way too aggressive.

Kinda didnt understand how to get out of the first cell and why those streams are needed, although the design is nice and character controls are good
