Boat mechanics are some what decent (felt nice for the first 5 minutes, then it kinda felt like the ship was half sinking).
It was almost impossible to kill some creatures as they spawned way too close to you and approached you way too fast.
Also i found a bug where the creatures would path-find to you ignoring land and going on top of it.
Overall the game could have some potential if the base idea would be developed further.

I really like this idea, it reminded me a bit of playing Sea of Thieves. The gameplay itself was pretty good, although I would have liked to zoom out a bit more. The sea monsters are really fast!
I think a bit more polish would make this game a lot better. The UI could use a bit of work, a lot of the elements or text are different sizes or misaligned. I did also miss having audio feedback for things, adding simple sound effects can have a huge impact on the overall presentation and feel of a game.
Overall, not a bad little game. Well done on your game jam entry :)

Interesting concepts. Sometimes some of the monsters appear just next to the ship and hit me, it's difficult to fight back in time in such situation. Upgrade system is a little unclear. But it's fun to play!
The game could use some sound. The monsters where really fast compared to the ship.
I can't seem to aim the cannon while the boat is moving. I'm not sure if that's intentional or not but it felt like a bug.
Hey, thanks for the input! I tested it out and im not having any problems. Are you sure you are using a dedicated mouse? (as opposed to a mouse pad) Hope you enjoy the game if you can get it working.
Hmm. I am indeed using a mouse pad but the mouse itself works just fine while keys are pressed, it's just the cannon that stops responding.
I had such an issue with an other game in a different jam. It definitely works fine with a regular mouse. Just a quirk of mouse pads I guess.
