I can see this being really fun! The setup you have will get there with just a little more work. As another said, I didn't always seem to be able to kill the archers even when my crosshair was blue and hitting them. But the smash animation was pretty satisfying! And I understand, sometimes you just run out of time :)

I also wished you had used the art pack in the world a little more, like maybe making 3D models out of some of the castle sprites. I think that would have integrated the skele sprites into the world a little more.

(by the way, we ended up having pretty similar ideas! That's so cool!)

Thank you! Loved your game btw, very polished!

It’s a cool and creative 3D game. Pounding the ground as giant to kill those puny units felt satisfying with the rocky particle effects bursting out. It’s fun but needs more than just a ground pound to keep the player engaged. This game needs a lot more polish, sometimes I couldn’t kill the enemies even though the target was right on them, seems to be some collision problem. After dying, I had to restart the game because I somehow couldn’t click the “play again” button. Good effort, would like to see it being developed further!

Hey, thanks for your feedback! There were some issues with the build that we didn’t had the time to address.

For how linear the mechanics are, the gameplay loop is really engaging! The game really gets you in the mood with what you've already got; maybe extending the logical implications of being a giant (jumping on something will kill it, maybe some have spiky helmets that you can't jump on, maybe some scurry into corners that you can't reach, being too large, and need to find an object to throw inside or use to destroy the surroundings, etc.) would help convey that feeling if you intend on continuing work on this.

Fun li'l thing you've got here. I don't know how much time you had to work on it or how experienced you are in game dev (not judging: my game is also pretty unpolished, which is why I mentioned this), but adding to the particles with some more, screenshake, and even basic giant-y sounds would add a lot!

Thank you! We are pretty new to the game development world (at least in my opinion).

Also, I really like your ideas, we actually intended to put some more work on this (specially sounds, particles, throwing objects and some screen shaking effects) but there was not enough time.

So, thank you again, it’s realy nice to read this!

The balance needs some work but if it isn't one of the most satisfying games I've played, the particles when you squish the village people is just delightful.

Developer

Oh, nice to read that haha. Thank you!

I can't kill the flame archers without dying. Am I doing something wrong?

Developer

You should dodge their arrows, they hurt a lot!
