Pretty cool for an FPS game, with some sound effects and some music I think the game would've been more engaging. Everything that I want to suggest has already been pointed by other in the comment section so I advise you take them into consideration if you want to improve your game. That being said, I think you did a good job anyway ;)

The previous comments sum up a lot of the things that need work. Most of them are actually easy fixes that immediately improve your game. Having the UI readable at all times and adding sound effects will transform the experience instantly. Currently the player has no idea when they get attacked from behind, because there is no sound cue, and you can't see your health getting lower either. If you focus on fixing those two points first, people will already have a better experience play testing. It's no fun shooting a gun that doesn't go BANG! ;)

Good job on the overall art direction though. Still very rough, but looks promising!

Not a bad first attempt at a FPS Game!  Most of the issues were already listed in mike239x's review.  I'd say scale back on things like procedural generation, since it can be a huge time sink to develop, and a lot of people may not even notice it without repeated play.  Focus on the fundamentals of game feel and your core game loop, then design your levels accordingly.  I'd rather have 3 premade levels with more polish than 100 randomly generated levels.  It shows a lot of ambition to go for this during a game jam though, and the basics are definitely there!  I checked out your other game as well, and it was a neat take on the sliding block puzzle genre!   Keep up the good work!

Where do even start...
First of all, not bad, not bad at all. I do like the physics you made were, has the right feeling to it.
Second, one of the most creative uses of the art assets by far, well done.

Now for the critique.
1) The UI smears when you move too fast - that's a big no-no.
2) The UI has the same color as the ground (white), making it impossible to read unless you actively look up.
3) Enemies are damn unbalanced.
a) The enemies respawn waaaay to fast. Already on stage 1 I have to just stay and kill the very first mob all the time, which makes progressing kinda impossible. Ofc I can just ignore the mobs and run around collecting the upgrades, but that also isn't a viable strategy since I get swarmed then.
b) This is inconsistent, but they also eat too much health (sometimes they don't, idk what is going on). Pretty much one touch and you are dead.
c) Either the monsters can spawn on top of me and just insta-kill me, or I get randomly killed for no reason. Either way it doesn't feel good.
d) The hp scaling for the enemies is also too high.
4) It would be nice if the enemies could forget about you, for instance if you get out of sight they could get get to the last spot they saw you and then stop, and not chase you through the entire map, flying over the walls.
5) Yeap, some sounds and music would be nice.
6) Physics bug(?) - if you get close to a platform that you can jump on and try to jump while holding forward, you can't really jump onto the platform, but get kinda glitch-clipped and sent back where you were.
7) The intro/tutorial level should be optional, gets boring really fast. You can also accidentally soft-lock yourself there if you just run past the mobs and jump to the rocket without killing those.
8) Add some nice animations for the gun firing.

Nice effects and graphics :) I think it needs SFX and some feedback, but nice entry!

I loved the art style of this game, it felt really cool and that's something to build upon for sure. Some SFX would not have gone amiss, and the gun felt a bit slow and ineffective, which could be improved with some extra animations and particles. You've made a pretty good game though :)

This game has a good foundation, and if polished up, can be very interesting. There are some big bug that need fixed, such as enemies going through walls. Some polish that would help a lot, feedback on shooting and hitting enemies, and making the UI black so it doesnt blend in with the ground. The generated levels are very nice, and has some cool shapes generated. Well done for a jam :)

Good job! Lets analyse it!
Your strong points is that you made an fps with a 2d tileset which is very creative! And you also added roguelike elements and generated levels! Awesome!
But sadly the core game is unpolished. Next time give more time in the main thing! shooting for example! add particles on hit,add a little camera shake, sound effects etc! and then you should move on to the upgrades, levels etc!
You did the hard part! and you left the "easy" part out of it! That's a shame ^^ I am pretty sure you could do much better! Manage your time better the next time and make first the important ones!
Good luck!!! and keep on going :D

thanks you for the great feedback!! ure right, i had issues with my time management, most of the time i didnt knew what i was going to do next and where the game was going, most of it was pure improvisation, and didnt had time to acually play the game and polish all the little details, im realy gratefull that regardless all the flaws u could see this as a potencially good game, thanks!!

Hi, this game shows some real promise! I really like that its a 3D shooter, and the graphics and graphics style is great! I also liked the space rocket built from the asset pack sprite and that you could pay to upgrade your skills.

There are a few areas that could do with a polish. Some music and sound would really help as sometimes I found it difficult to know if something had come up behind me and was attacking. I also noticed that the health bars did not update properly on some enemies, and knowing to click on the blocks rather than the sprites to buy upgrades wasn't initially obvious. Sometimes the UI was also difficult to see on the brighter levels as it was white on white.

A bit of polish and this game would be really great! Good job!
