I think it’s neater to just have one submission. Progress updates are not its primary purpose. Resubmissions should be reserved for critical changes or game-breaking bugfixes. Basically, submit only when you feel like you’re done with the game.
If you really want to upload per day, you can just have one project that's labelled as a Work-In-Progress, then you can upload a daily file of your game in that project. You can have multiple files available in a single project, just mark then as separate versions so people know to download the latest game.
