Yes, it uses the character sprite from Castlevania on the NES and also the song "Run" from Unreal Tournament.

The difficult platforming is fun but some of the jumps feel "blind" in a way. Instead of actively adjusting a jump to avoid a spike, I would have to guess on when I should adjust and eat a spike if my guess was a couple milliseconds off.
This game looked good, but it really reminded me of plenty of games I have played in the past. I think some unique twist would have been great to see. Also, the Simon sprite kind of felt out of place. Still, overall, was designed really well and felt very "complete."
Yeah, I was really inspired by the flash game "Give Up" by armor games.
