I included it in an article of my favorite games from the Music Game Jam!
Challenging, but fair. Slowing down and speeding up obstacles make for interesting puzzles, and good platforming. Maybe a bit too hard by the end: some sections really felt like they have to be done frame perfect. More room for maneuver wouldn't be too much!^^'
Changing music pitch during game is quite fun! It's a nice idea, that is used in interesting ways throughout the game. Good job!
Very unique, well made game! I included it in my Music Game Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :)
it's a innovative game mechanic! I really like it. The tutorial level is really good and then it becomes very difficult right at the start :D good thing you've put check points so often. Overall it's a well made, well thought platformer with a twist. Congrats!
I wasn't part of the jam, but your composer worked on a game with me, so I thought I'd check it out. Really interesting mechanics and well done on rather tight platforming controls. You get a +1 from me. Well done on the music as well. It must've been difficult to compose for that constant switching.
Definitely a solid entry and fun puzzle mechanics making me wish I would've thought of it! lol I had to download the PC version because the browser version of Google does not detect the "hold down" to jump higher. The game is challenging but forgiving and generous in checkpoints which makes deaths/restart not too much of a hassle and allows me to experiment without feeling the pressured. I really liked it! Great job! :D
This game is really fun. The timing on some of the area has got to be down to a few frames, man they are hard. Really like everything, It's very well balanced, leaning a bit on the hard side (which it should). At level 8 I started thinking "Man, I hope there's only 10 levels because I have things I need to do today". Really fun, hope you continue development!
The game indeed has only 10 levels haha. (Didn't place that in the description for a surprise, until now), so I hoped you still did the things that you need to do for the day. Thank you for those words :D
Okay this game drove me absolutely fucking nuts holy shit but I made it. I think the difficulty is a little rough at the beginning, right around the first couple of levels, but the mechanics are incredible.
For an easymode idea, it might cool to add an instant red/blue slider hotkey.
I apologize on your frustration, but hey I saw the stream and I saw the struggles. I enjoyed watching it haha. Would consider your suggestion if I would pick this game up again. Thanks for that.
And congrats for finishing the game, the screenshot said so :D
Very nice puzzle plattform action mix. Very rewarding if you spend patience and observation.
You're right, patience and observation is the key :) Glad to know hehe. Thank you :D
Awesome work! It is fairly difficult, and I'm terrible at it it. I had to give up on level 8. It has a considerable amount of polish for a weekend jam game.
You're still awesome that you've reached that far. Thanks for the comment! :D
Brilliant! The bpm/pitch shifting mechanic is aweeeesome! Very thoughtful design too. Nice embedded tutorial and considerate checkpoint placements. The minimalist aesthetic fits this game really well too -especially w/ the music (which awesome job on that as well) Fantastic work! :D
Thank you very much for your comment :D
Fun game and cool mechanic, but some of those opening feel like they are only a frame wide. Level 8 was particularly difficult.
Working on the game with a cold and some blue screens caused me those opening levels lol. But hey, thanks for playing, you can do it :)
The only criticism I have is to change the button layout on controller
Jump was Y, red is A and blue is B
Please make it so that Jump is A and that the red and blue are R and L
Otherwise one of the best games I've seen in a jam
Are those joystick controls or keyboard? Those look like joystick controls to me, some buttons do have alternatives however (except the red and blue lol...). Thanks for playing :D
I'm talking about joystick controls.
It's just that the face buttons all feel like they're the wrong choice. Like Jump is Y.
Ohh, truth is, I never test the game with a joystick hehe. I'll do that in the post update, as of now, I'm uploading the game in different platforms :D
Good platformer, good music and the mechanic is simple and fun! :)
Thank you for the comment :)
