CONTROLS:

E - Left hand

F - Left Leg

J - Right Leg

I - Right Hand

ESCAPE - Go back to menu at any time

(NOTE: Make sure the resolution is 1280 x 720 for best experience. For some reason if you play the game in low or very low quality, the notes will immediately hit the trigger and cause you to lose, so be sure to play it on medium or above!)

UPDATE1 : Timing is now fully consistent upon every startup, as well as larger timing windows and tweaks for the majority of notes, this version is far from final however!

UPDATE2: Further note tweaking, including a controls page in the menu.

Silly game! I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum dare 42 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :)

Hi !
This game was cool ! But I found him a little difficult. It's still fun though !
It's a funny idea to had a video into the game like oldschool aventure game !
Great job !

Really funny concept, but the gameplay really needs some improvements.

Also, it's really difficult.

I gave it several tries, but it just crashed every time I tried to launch the game. I thought at first it was because I was playing on a large resolution, but then I tried 1280 x 720 several times, and it still kept crashing.

It's a shame, I've seen it played on a couple of streams, and I love the weird retro aesthetic, so I was looking forward to trying it out for myself!

Hey! I revisited your game! Take a look here:

Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooook,  I DID IT!  Finally!  I did find that you can just hardcore spam buttons to get the notes to work, which is nice for the sake of completion, but not so nice for the sake of meaningful gameplay =P  It definitely felt less demanding than last playthrough, but I think there's still room for improvement.  I think the timing visuals could be changed so that they're clear when you can and can't press the button.  The reticle could be differently colored from the circle so it's position doesn't get lost and is highlighted when compared to it.  That way the timing is more clear.  Also, you could just make the circle light up or something when the timing is correct.  Just a couple thought I had this time around!

So glad I beat it, honestly, I love the idea of this game =D

The game started all right but crashed when I actually tried to play it. I'll try it again later on a better computer (this is on Win7).

Hey! I just wanted to let you know that a video of one of my playthrough/reviews is up and you're a part of it!

Awesome! Thanks for giving it a crack haha

I really want to like this game.  It's super creative and clever.  But man o' man are those timings SUPER strict.  It's really hard to progress, it feels like the timing window is TINY TINY.  I gave it a good college try but it was quite frustrating.

Overall, the aesthetic was phenomenal, loved it.  I would definitely play more some other time.

Great work!

Thank you for the response! Yeah when posting it I had the fear it was gonna be a "possible for me, impossible for everyone else" game and I guess that's the case for the most part haha. I think the issue is that the code I had on the ring would increase in speed the smaller it got so it messed up the player's timing to get the note, timing window could've definitely been bigger as well. I'm glad you enjoyed the visuals though, I'll definitely fix the timing soon!

That'd be awesome! Just more consistent on the timing window and it'd be greatly improved =D  Can't wait to see an update!
