I had fun, enjoy the retro experience.

Thank you!!

The movements are a bit finicky as others are saying but I'm sure you will improve slowly.

But overall, it's a very likable game! the characters and enemies are all cute!! And the music fits the artstyle so well! Great job making your first game so pretty!

Thanks for the useful feedback!

The art is awesome, love the style and colors! Sound is good too. I found the movement slightly difficult to do well, the horizontal movement is a bit slow, while the jump speed is high. To make this game way more playable you might consider increasing the movement speed and keeping the jump speed, that way it will feel a lot better to play. Great job though :)

Thanks for the honest feedback! You're absolutely right. It moves a bit slow.

luckily it’s an easy fix :D

nice game! jump felt a bit too high, or maybe just too uncontrollable? I really liked the extra challenge of collecting all the fruit

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! You're right with the jump. It was not that high before, but wasn't able to reach some platforms. I didn't want to modify the maps as I was running out of time to complete it, so just adjusted the jump height.

oh, good job then, it's cool that you could come up with a solution that made the game playable in time for the jam!! something else that maybe could work is allowing the player to control the height of the jump by holding the jump button. Jonas Tyroller has a nice implementation of that on his video on platforming tips, helped me a lot!

anyway, great first game, congrats!!
