Levels seem far too complex far too soon. It takes a little bit more time than it should to find what is what. First level was a little bit frustrating.Extreme minimalism works well. Colors are well suited, and the game is probably very interesting.

Interesting concept. I managed to fly out, with the ghost, from the level going in from where I came from. Did not seem like you intended for that to be possible, or?

Developer

Hello, no that was not intended? May i ask which level this happened on? I had another guy mention being able to exit the map when ghosting. So yea :D

Submitted

The second level. I just flew back up the way I ”fell” into the level

What a fun concept, in most games you avoid dying at all costs. Here its an important mechanic.

Developer

Exactly, this came about from a barinstorming session, in which the change of ‘State of life’ was identified as a core concept. A ghost would obviously be the dead representation of the player, and would be able to go through objects and float. So yea.  That is how death got included as something other than a gameover screen. :)

a very creative idea for a puzzle game I like it

Developer

Thanks, I am glad you liked it :)

Love the art style for this game! And the music for the ghost is so perfect! Great job!

Developer

So glad you like it! The art and music took up a lot of time too, so it's good to see that it payed off :)

The sounds really directed me what to do even without reading anything, so props to that!

I got to level 2 was about to finish it and messed up at the end. But I can say that this minimalistic design and gameplay really made the game pop up so beautifully! One of the best games I played on this jam!

Developer

Hi, I'm so glad you liked the game, and the sound design, that's awesome! Sorry to hear that you messed up on the second level, my philosophy for puzzle games are that the solutions are  most meaningful when each choice the player makes has consequence, but yea it can be tough :)

I have played for some time and I can say that your idea of using the theme was perfect and the choose of just some colors made your game unique. Congrats!!! Gonna put your game in my inspiration list.

Thanks for your feedback! Yea, I love the 1-bit art style, I think it adds more to a game when you take away something, also some slight animation to the 1-bit tilesets help alot :)

Really nice puzzle game! it kept me thinking all te time 👌👌👌

Developer

I'm glad, I try to make my puzzles challenging, and never to have the solution totally obvious :)

Love the style!

Developer

Glad to hear it, some slight animation helps to make the 1-bit style pop :D

I really like the art style and sound effects, it makes the game calm and easy to focus on the objective. I did notice that when you're a ghost you can go outside the map, I'm not sure if this was on purpose. I still like the game a lot though. It's one of my favorites that I've seen on here so far! :D

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! I'm glad you liked the art and sound, they took up a lot of time. Sorry to hear that you encountered a bug, you weren't supposed to be able to leave the map, not even as a ghost. The ghost is supposed to be able to go through certain objects bu not the map. Do you remember which level you encountered the map-exit on? I would love to fix that :)

Yeah! It was on the first level. The first time I became a ghost I began moving around and found that I was able to completely walk out of the map. I was able to fly up the top and bottom paths to leave. When playing as the knight I wasn't able to leave though, so it's just the ghost.

Developer

huh that is quite Odd.. i will check that out and see if i can get to the problem. Thanks for bringing this to me :)
