Devlog 0: Day 0

This right here is proof that I am creating a visual novel in google slides.

And if you wanted to know, for now, this is how the Main Menu looks.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Devlog 1: Day 1

Imagine the pain and suffering that has to go in doing this:

.

Then the worst part is that you have to create animations for each slide. You then have design each and every slide to your liking. Then go online and steal background and sprites, (Don't worry, I give credits). Then you have to create a engaging storyline. Then you have to create the pause screen. I'm going crazy! But the process of trial and error overcomes everything. It gives me motivation to continue. Maybe I'll get finished on time, maybe not.

Also this is my first and last game jam. I'm no longer spending HUNDREDS OF REAL HOURS, working on a game.  Ok?

-Javion Thomas

P.S. I may do another game jam.

Devlog 2: Day 2

Then I added more slides to my visual novel. More pain and suffering, blah blah blah. Even more pain and suffering. Then I watched a tutorial on how to make a pause screen in google slides, maybe.

Thats interesting - I didn't think of using google slides as a visual story engine. Thats cool. Good Luck.

Yeah, I didn't think of using google slides at first. I thought of using Ren'py, but since I know a lot about the language already I decided to use google slides because. <Why did I decide to use this again?> Well because I wanted to figure out more about google slide's capabilities. Its really a pain, but it works.

Good luck with this new makeshift engine. I think its going to turn out good.

Um here is my game page. HERE! I'm going to try and pull an allnighter, I entered the Jam a little bit late. I may go to sleep at my desk, pray for me at 3am.
