Hi. Nice game but I didn't finish it because of the difficulty curve: I beat mosquito, beat slime and then dancing fancy skeleton beat my ass :)

You mentioned that it could imbalanced and it is. Maybe add more easy enemies in order to find more potions, items for player to get used to the game overall.

The story sequence is good and I enjoyed the dialogues and cut scenes.

What's really cool is the way of choosing the class. And some of the classes are intriguing.

Anyway, that's great item here and I loved that you managed to create JRPG because I'm kinda fan of it.

Developer(+1)

wait you lost to Carson? that shouldn't be possible, he's supposed to heal you any time you're below 50% HP.

thanks for letting me know, I'll have to do some more tuning.

Out of curiosity: What class did you choose?

Submitted

Yeah, he did it once. And then killed me :)

I chose the sorcerer

Developer

Alright. I'll look into why he doesn't do it more than once, but for now I added a second trigger in the new update, that should make him less likely to KO you.

I will be honest and confess that i do not like games with random battles, and that unfortunately colors my opinion of the game. That has nothing to do with your game, as i cannot endure even the “greatest”, such a Final Fantasy, so please take it only as my dislike for the genre.

First, the good is that i think that there are a lot of content here. I assume you used some kind of graphical pack for the tiles and avatars, but that does not diminish at all the work you had to do to create all the maps, even if the labyrinth is in a kind of “loop”, and the scripts. The story is also interesting, albeit a bit cliché, maybe, and it is well told with the events of the game, at least as far i could see.

I tried to finish it a couple of times but could not defeat Sol and gave up. It was decidedly not obvious how to get out of the black screen with the items i received battling Nothing; i had ten or so glimmering stars before i tried to use them.  This may be because i do not play this kind of games, therefore a seasoned player might use it the first time it is given; i do not know.  The battles were boring for me, but of course i would say that 😊.

Despite everything, i believe this to be a good game.

Developer

Thank you so much for giving me feedback!

I actually used only regular RPG Maker content for the visuals! The labyrinth's looping was just to make it feel a bit more confusing to navigate, and I discovered it by accident.

I do need to balance the game, and also add something to tell the player to use the Glimmering Star, honestly. Originally, it was supposed to be an event that would happen when exiting the battle with Nothing, but it never seemed to work.

I'll have to make a few changes to it later!

The tree path you made in the beginning could have been made a little more obvious . The battle mechanics are solid from what I've played thus far.

Developer

Thanks! The battles were a little bit simple.

And do you mean the trees near Sol & Luna's house? I wanted to make it a bit of a wooded pathway, maybe I should add some stone tiles or something else.

Yes those are the ones, took me a bit to figure out where I was supposed to go.

Developer

Alright! I'll have to update that then

Cute game, like the graphics and music. I just didn't get it what to do after leaving the house.

Developer

Ah, got it! I'll have to add a line or two about going into the forest, then!

Sorry it wasn't obvious enough...
